Another month has been and gone, and still I have yet to break the €1500 barrier. It didnt help taking a week off to visit family up north, and me falling ill for the last 2 days of the month stopping me from playing.
Since the last update I infact only managed to play 3 days in total and played just 1290 hands. I show an overall profit since the last update of €1.38, but I can tell you I was up and down like a brides Nightie to end up at that figure.......
With the 29th October being a particular up and down day. Although I managed just 354 hands and at one point was showing a loss of almost €60 after just 83 hands when some muppet chased a gutshot 4 outer and caught it on the river with me holding a set and paying him off. But then got Lucky myself while Yes slightly tilted from that hand holding KK and 3 betting only for the raiser to shove all in who happen to have back 3 buy ins to his name and me calling it preflop and turning a king to his AA. That pot put me back in front but just 30 hands later while playing a total of 6 tables I then get outdrawn while holding AA and the other guy hitting the set of 7's to again drop me back to a loss of €30. I crawled some back but ended the day for a loss of €18.06 and I thought I played pretty well to claw some of the losses back.
But overall for October I made my biggest profit for the month since I started using the tracker which is now 7 months on with a total profit of €83.43. Mainly playing the 12/25c tables and the odd 25/50c tables. I did rake according to the tracker €104.65 but I dont know if its the same figure they have at Euro Super Poker for the 45% rakeback. I so wanted to play the last 2 days to make sure but like mentioned I was just not well enough to do so.
I still love doing this challenge and I still have 2 months to try and break the €2k barrier although it looks like not being done. But I dont think anyone would begrudge me knowing what I have been through this year. But I will crack on and hopefully play more than the 16 days I managed to play in October and try and make an overall profit for Novemeber somewhere near the €150 mark.
I will update in 2 weeks time, and thanks for reading.
The €0 to €10k challenge. I started this in March 2009 with a zero bankroll and was playing x3 €20 freerolls a week on KSpoker. I Managed to make a few Euro's and then set off playing the 10c rebuy Tournies and the 2/4c tables. Had a good few places and set me on my way. Can be currently found on Opoker under the name PlazaPPP which is On the Boss Network. Names previously used are Plaza! & Plaza!!

How to run Realllll Bad.........
Another week played and gone. Well actually not really true. I lost a few days with the back playing up and a couple of appointments took it out of me. Gutted to still be losing days but at least I have managed to play some poker on the challenge.
Overall I had a losing week, which could not really be helped and will give you the hand in question in a second. But I played some aggressive poker and managed a bit of respect from a couple of players who I mentioned were always 3 betting me pre. I got round this by 4 betting and if called, pot bet the flop if out of Position or shove the Continuation bet if in position. I don't get too much hassle now. I didn't manage to play any 25/50c this week and played x4 tables on the 12/25c tables and the total rake for October at just short of €80.
So overall it was a losing week and the figures are played 1865 hands this week and I am down €11.59 for the week, but still up €70+ for the month. But losing 3 days to pain didn't help matters, and next week I am up north to visit family via the train, so there will be no poker till the 26th Oct.
Ok the hand that broke the camel's back......
Funny enough it involves AA which seems to be a pattern. I guess with AA your more than likely to win a major pot or lose it.......
So I 3 bet when early Position player raises and guy next to me calls with the other player also calling. The flop comes J 9 2 rainbow and a check for early guy and a pot bet by me is called by the guy next to me and the early guy folds. I put the player on AJ ish or set 9's or of course 2's. The turn is another 9 and we both check, I check because I wanted to look weak with the check knowing I beat any 2 pr. The 9 doesn't really scare me and I don't put him on Jacks, but still set 2's is still there though. The river is another 9 giving me 9's full with Aces. I beat a set of 2's now and me not thinking hes got Jacks puts a half pot bet out, and he thinks and shoves. Happy Days hes prob got 9's full of jacks now and I have beat. Pretty chuffed that I played it well.
But to my horror he shows 9 7 off. W T F how can you call a big 3 bet pre with 9 7 off...... Not knowing what the 1st raiser was going to do. So he ships the pot and its not long before I close it down with fear of going on tilt. I don't know how the hell I ran so bad all night on all sites but I did and closing it down was the right thing to do.
There was a hand earlier in the week which I was quite pleased with, which involved 6 3 off and me calling the raise pre and seeing a flop of A J 7 rainbow. He bets out and I raise and he thinks for a while and calls. The turn is a 2 and he checks and I again bet about 60% of the pot and again he calls, leaving not much behind for both of us. The river brings a nothing 4 and he checks and I shove. He thinks for an age and folds telling me he's got KK..... Happy days..........
So I will update the blog in 2 weeks when I have returned from up north and fingers crossed it doesn't take too much out of me.

So the 1st week back..........
Well I have been playing at higher stakes after I changed the rules, and straight away I noticed the play was very different to the €10 buy in tables I had been playing.
Still with very good BRM, I elected to play the 25/50c tables, and straight away I was rewarded with the biggest pot of the challenge so far. Yes I did get lucky when my AA rivered the higher set of 8's which he flopped. The final pot was €108 which I managed a punch the air with delight moment.
It then proceeded to go downhill from then on and 8 days later after that pot I am now just €11.60 up for the month. I peaked at €66 up from the 2nd Oct and have currently played 4477 hands.
I have noticed like I said at the start the play is far much tougher, and at the moment I don't feel comfortable playing 25/50c so moved down to the 12/25c tables normally playing x4 tables at a time. I am currently trying to release a bonus on PKR at the same time, so this stops me somewhat opening and playing further tables.
But even on the 12/25c tables players are 3 betting all the time preflop and I have 1 guy who 3 bets me everytime I raise a pot, which of course is a problem when I raise light anyways. I need to show him a bluff or 2 to stop him dead. There are still good spots and I take advantage of these. But overall I am happy with the play now it just means I have to start over again with the note taking.
Although not really important my rakeback deal is much better for me playing these limits, and have raked a massive € 54.25 so far and still only the 9th day of the month.
I will update again sometime in the week, but overall happy.

Its been a while................
Hello people.
Its been a while since I blogged, and truth be told the depression was really bad. I have not played any of the challenge for a while now, and one of the reasons apart from the depression was because the play was a struggle. I struggled to reach the €100 rake required for rakeback and no matter how hard I tried I just could not win enough to get out of that level.
So After I brief re-think I have decided to alter the goal posts some what.
I am still very B/roll orientated, but the main change will be the buy in into a cash game.
Before it was I could not sit down to any table unless I had 100 times the buy in, ie €1000 in order to play a €10 cash game.
So now I am going to stick to what Jesus Ferguson did, and that was to play with no more than 5% of his B/roll in any cash game.
This now enables me to play the higher games of 25/50c tables until I reach €2000 and I can then move up to the €0.50/€1 tables.
I am also hoping I dont have to grind it out so much either trying to reach the €100 rake.
Also, I have decided to update this blog every so often, and not everyday. Again I started to struggle updating this every night and became a chore in the end. I am still going to be updating, but now only twice a week.
I hope this gives the reader a bit more insight into how I play and not have to read daily blogs of basically the same thing over and over again.
These are positive changes, and I want to have the hunger back that I first had when I began this challenge.

Still no play.........
Having had a few days off, I still don't feel to good and still not up to the Multi-tabling poker at the moment. Although I have bought myself x2 Samsung 24" TFT Monitors which arrived today and look the dogs Bollox I just can not keep a clear head. Unfortunately Poker requires you do just that, and would be suicide to attempt to play in my frame of mind. All the work I had put in during the month is to no avail now.
I think I might have a look at the tournaments on offer and play some to try and keep the account ticking over. Will let you know, and might even try the 10c rebuy I love so much.....

Pain Stopped Play.......
No play today. Although my brother who made the trip down to see me still went ahead like Planned, but when I went to meet him I broke down more times than a VW Beetle. Returned back home, and I was still bad. I did try and play a brief bit of poker but the pain was to great no matter what position I tried to get comfortable, so I give up in the end. I want to try and make up for lost time, and will look to play some extra hours next week and hopefully some extra tables to. Sorry Folks, just couldn't be helped tonight and I am frustrated with the level of pain that's hit me today with no underlining cause.

Bad Plaza - Bad Plaza.......
Yes I am a bad Plaza.......
I really should not of fired 4 tables up while playing a Heads Up Tourney on the forum in the PPP WSOP event 4. It cost me dear and before I knew it I was broke on 1 table, after failing to spot a tight player raising me on the flop only for me to shove with top Pair top Kicker holding AJ on a Jack high Board. He had KK and that was that.... It then gets worse when I am sure I can get this player off a button steal because I noticed he had done it 3 times running, so I 3 bet him and he calls I am holding 8 9 off. Flop comes down 3 5 7 with 2 spades, and I fire a pot bet out and he calls. Hmmm OK, turn brings the 9 spades, and again I fire 3/4 pot bet out and he calls, and the river is an 8 giving me top 2 pair. Now thinking I am beating AA KK QQ JJ so I then check hoping he shoves, and he does and I call it, he flips AK spades and I wave another buy in gone. But it gets worse, if it could of course. I miss flop after flop, I miss up and down straights, I miss flushes, I miss sets when calling with Pocket Pairs with 4 in the pot preflop. Whatever I had I missed, and whenever I bluffed I was called. It is prob one of the worse days I have had in the challenge.
I have just counted 10 pots of over 20 BB I lost tonight in separate hands. I played 1024 hands tonight, and the games have just finished at 1-30 am. I was still playing 2 tables waiting for them to break, but I had to come off in the end. The damage is €26.29 down and that's with doubling on 2 hands ! Again another button steal attempt but this time I got lucky holding A3 suited in the BB and 3 bet and he calls. Flop comes down 2 5 7 rainbow and I pot bet it expecting him to fold, but he min raises and I still have outs so I call and the turn is an Ace. I check and he bets about 3/4 pot and I call, still waiting for the miracle 4 to come. River is another ace, and I just jam it in, and he calls and mucks. He starts calling me, but I cant be bothered to read it. I guess I outdrew him prob with KK, I dont know nor care.......
I should of knocked it on the head tonight when the HU tourney started for sure, and yes I will next time. I was wreckless tonight, and maybe I got an image of being a bit reckless after all that. I was determined to crack the €1.5k tonight as well, but whenever I try, I always seem to fail at the goals, so just going to plod on and if it works its all good.....
Now played 7839 hands for the month of August, and although still up for the month, its been reduced to €29.73, which is still 3 buy ins. Still a way to go till the end of the month.....

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside.....
Went to Worthing, but it was too much and we had to come back earlier then expected. But had a good time while we were there. Got back home and not really up for any poker but by 8pm I thought Bollox to it I'll play for a couple of hours.
A couple of hours it was to, and played 412 hands in that time. The good news is I pulled back the losses I had over the last 3 days playing and stopped the streak of losing days with the key hand being KK UTG and I just limped, only for someone in late position to pot bet it with 4 limper's, and of course I put a big 3 bet in and hes the only 1 who calls it. Don't like the flop of Queen high, because he could have QQ. I check ( I don't know why either, it was the wrong play I know ) But he also checked and the turn was the money card, yes the King. I check again, and he takes the bait and 3/4 bets the pot and its a simple shove to put me all in, and he thinks and calls. The river is nothing and the pot comes my way, not knowing what he had.
I started a few bluffs tonight, which I said I was not going to do, but amazingly they worked tonight. One being a 3 bet call along with 2 other callers after I raised with 7 8 diamonds and the board comes down AD 3 5D. I bet just half the pot and all fold faster than well you know what !
I start to feel like shit with tiredness and a pounding head and decide to call it a day happy with the nights work. I turn a profit of €9.54 for the day and well on my way to the magical €1500 mark. Its just €20 to go and hope to close it out before the end of the week. I would write more, but I truly do feel like shit at the moment, so its off to bed at just 10-40pm ( I must be bad....... ).

That was a long shift !
I had to go to the physio today, so I could not do what I did yesterday and play some poker in the afternoon. So I waited until after tea and set my stall out with the 4 tables, fully expecting it to be another hard long slog, while again playing a forum PLO game in the series that's currently running which is the PPP WSOP. Anyone wanting to get involved, click the link on the right hand side on the blog !
For some bizarre reason the tables started closing after an hour which is a first, so I had to go hunting for some more tables. Tonight had everything...... Flopped quads, flopped boats, missed with huge hands and of course donkey calls by me.
I say Donkey call it wasn't really but I should of known. I had JJ on the button and its folded to me and of course I raise and the SB 3 bets me, hes just sat down and no stats on him, so I elect to call and let him hang himself. Flop comes down 8 9 10 rainbow and yes he bets the pot, so I just shove and OMG he calls turn blank river blank, and he flips AA. Buy in gone. I run quite well in the forum game and eventually end up HU so trying to play x4 cash NL games, and also a freeroll opens up that I forgot about, so its 6 games on the go, and things are a bit mad for a while. I get beat HU in the PLO game and start to concentrate on the cash tables, and I know I am down at least €15 on the day, never getting back the buy in and also losing again to shorties, and I promise myself I am folding anything up to KK to a shorty stack from now on. The amount of times they just wait for AA is unreal, and then hit and run straight after. I try a couple of bully plays towards the end, and they seem to work and eventually I decide enough is enough for 1 night. I click the re-fresh on the tracker, and I honestly can not believe it when I see it. Nothing stands out over the last 80 hands but I was €15.70 down 80 hands from the end, and I double check to see I am just €1.37 down having played almost 6 hours and 1144 hands. I defo take that and still amazed I turned it round.
Yes it does make 3 losing days in a row, but the fact its nothing more than €3 at a time, and with yesterdays bad luck and today's bad read I got to be a happy chappie !
I'm away tomorrow till later on, so the hand count will be low. Going to Worthing on the train for a bit of sea air.........

1 hand is all it took !
I played so so well today, and have really run unlucky as well today.....
Everything starting good, I put in a 400 hand session this afternoon and was holding my own, even though I met QQ v KK and KK v AA and QQ v AA. I should of been well behind, but pot control saved me a bigger loss, and I ended the afternoon session virtually even which I was glad about.
So after a little rest and some food, I then started the nights play, just playing x4 cash tables because I had a little tournament on the poker forum going on tonight, which I wanted to concentrate on. Then it happened......... The 1 hand.....
For some bizzare reason I still dont know, but I just felt I was good with my 66 on the BB to the button raise. The flop come down 8 high and I pot bet it, and he raises me, and I call it. Turn is the Queen and again I bet, and he shoves. I think hes still at it and call it now putting him on AK, but AQ was my dread. The river is a blank and he shows KQ, and I lose a full buy in. Lesson today was why try and bluff or try to get someone off a hand, when you dont know how they play. I had no history on the guy, and should of give him the benefit of the doubt, and watched him for a little longer. rather then thinking I can push him off it......
I then spend 3 hours trying to get the loss back, and yes I did take the odd risk in some cases, which is not how I want to be perseved at this level. I was doing ok just playing my game and getting paid off when I hit something. I double another shorty up with me holding QQ, and although I pretty sure I am beat, I still call the huge raise and the shove on the flop, and yes he was holding AA. I do win a €10 pot when Blind v Blind and Im holding AK, and the flop comes down Ace high, and he shoves. I dont know what hes holding but I pick it up. Then the games start to close down at 11-30 ish and I call it a day.
I check the tracker and slightly puzzled, but overall happy I guess. I thought I might of lost a lot more than I did, and yeah surprised to see just a loss of €2.67 for 1103 hands played today. I am pleased with the volume I played today, with an ease I enjoyed.
It all depends if I can manage to wake up earlier I suppose, like today was 10AM, but I had a GP appointment. But going to bed tonight at a reasonable hour, so hope to wake up early again........
Yup it had to happen !
All good things must come to an end, and so does my winning streak for August. I actually had a losing day, and the 1st bit of red is now sat on the 8th August. But I guess its not all so bad, because I really did not want to play today. Sunday is becoming a day of pain and suffering which is caused by the weekly shopping trip into town and then followed later by the daily walk and its starting to take its toll on me. I had to rest in bed after the salad I had for tea, and I promptly fell alseep only to be woken by the sound of Big Brother finishing. There was a relief to say the least....... So that made it 10-00pm and still not played an hand of poker all day. I felt a bit better so instead of playing my usual $1 tournies tonight, I cracked open x8 tables for old times sake, and I managed almost an hour before they started closing down faster than the speed of the National Debt raising, and thats fast......
I was surprised that in the 50 minutes I played x8 tables I had managed 328 hands in total. Nothing worth of mention really. I bluffed a few pots early on and was then 3 bet most of the time, so went back into my shell taking mental notes for future references for profitable poker when we meet again. I think my biggest pot of the night was blind v blind who had raised me when I first sat down when I was holding AQ, and let it go after he fired a 3rd barrel on the river and I didnt have anything apart from the shove maybe. Anyways Its an Ace high flop giving me a flush draw with my 2 4 suited and I bet 3/4 pot which is only 18c and he min raises me and I call. The turn brings a 2 and I check for him to pot bet it, and again I call. The river is a 4 giving me bottom 2 pair. I put a little bet out and again he min raises, and I call it and he mucks and I dont know what he had. But I got lucky on the river I guess, or maybe my bottom pair was good, who knows, or cares really......
So the tables break and I look at the damage, and I am down €2.92 for the day. Saw nothing, bluffed a little, and chased a nut flush draw with 5 calling a turn pot bet by some player and I missed, but I was looking at it as a +EV spot if hit.
I hope I feel a bit better tomorrow, because today I struggled !

So the week is over - Lets have a look !!!
I feel like the host on the Generation game..... Good Game Good Game.......
The week is over and yes I made it. Made what I hear you say.....
I finished the week without a losing session, and well pleased overall with the week.
Tonight's session was again a struggle to start, and it took a while before I managed to get x4 tables running, but the bad new is, they all started breaking up about 10-30pm. That's 90 Min's before they normally start to close. I can not remember them closing so soon before, but with the holidays I guess it must effect it sometimes. I will be able to gauge it better this time next week, but it looks like I might have to up the amount of tables I play. But of course that takes away some of the $1 Tourneys I have started playing. I guess you cant have your cake and eat it all the time.
Overall the tracker says I played just over 19 hours for the week. Granted it was me who decided not to play till after the evening meal and sometimes go for a walk. But it looks like I might have to play a couple of hours or at least an hour during the day, and hope it does not become a chore, which is what I don't want. Also have to consider the rake back I am getting as well. It needs to be over €100 a month for me to receive 45% back, and unless I play either more tables or more hours I will be short. Not much but I would rather be over the amount with some comfort rather then relying on the tracker records of the rake back, because I know they can be off.
So tonight's session was just over 2 hours before the tables started breaking up. I managed to get in over 440 hands but the important stat is it was another winning day making a total of 6 days running. Not a great deal stands out really apart from raising the button raise with 66 and he shoves. I normally fold and don't want to gamble and he was a short stack 20 BB Muppet as well. But I did call v his AK and I took that. I did luck out v another short stack who shoved all in again for 20BB after I raised with QQ to just 2.8 BB. I didn't think he would show KK, but I took it after flopping the Q for a set. But I would not of folded that.
Another hand that springs to mind is another suck out. But I only have his word for it though. I had KK and rivered a straight and he folded to my river bet saying he had AA, and I got lucky. I finished up €9.90 which is 10c short of another buy in.
So been a good week, and below is the graph for the week. My overall bankroll is now €1475.92

Practise what you spreech.......
Well I did say I was going to put a double shift in after missing yesterday through Ill Health, and that's what I did.
Almost 6 hrs of playing x4 tables today I managed, and in all that time nothing stands out much. Today's play was full of If only's with a couple of key hands which returned huge dividends if only I had played the hand.......

Another one which was right at the end of the session. I was thinking about the implied odds if I hit, and because I played very tight tonight I was concerned if I did hit and stayed in the pot they were not going to be........

Of course like I said I might not of been paid, but the flush on the turn I would of represented for sure and maybe collect a big pot. But I didnt, and again it cost me. But by playing tight tonight it did save me some cash when I let hands go and would of been crushed.
I did call an all in shove with AK suited v a short x20 BB player. He also had AK suited and his was the one that caught the flush and I ended up losing. Other times flopping sets, only for the str or the flush to hit facing big bets. Yeah they could of been floating, but I have yet to see it at this level on a constant basis. Maybe once or twice but nowhere near enough to think it was being done all the time. I would only have to see it once and they would have a note on them, and I dont remember ever having to write such a note.
So although I played a grand total of 1267 hands today, I only managed a profit of €2.84. But with some hard luck stories and if only stories it could of been so much different. I guess I should be happy its another winning day and puts me back on track with 3.4k hands played this month with an overall profit of €43.54 this month already. But I have yet to have a losing day this month, and not many players can say that !!!!

Rain stopped play.......
Not really rain, but it was close and I didn't play.
I had a follow up appointment today with the surgeon which involved driving 10 miles or so. The pain I was in when I returned was horrid, and after eating I went for the daily walk which did not do me any favours either. On my return from the walk I had to lie down on the bed it was that bad. So I decided not to play tonight. But because of the lost play today in the region of about 500 hands, I might do a double shift tomorrow, prob in the afternoon. I don't want to waste the good start I have had by not playing. If not tomorrow it will be Saturday.
Sorry if you were expecting an update, but the health needs to come 1st, annoying both for me and you.........

You F****** ***** ****** ****** **** **********
That's what you get called when you outdraw someone and they don't like it !
Let me explain......
Really struggled tonight to enter any games, and it took about an hour of trying before I was able to play 4 tables. I hate joining the waiting list and much prefer to jump on a table before it gets reserved, if you time it right it can be done.
Anyway I had nothing to say tonight after I played 500 hands or so apart from a couple of bluffs that got called, but did wonders for my table Image NOT. Well I guess its how you view that statement really. So like I said nothing at all happened. When that hand come up.....
I'm mid Position with JJ and raise it and button 3 bets it, nothing out of the Norm standard 3 times my bet I think maybe hes trying a move on me, because I had no stats on him and I never seen him before, so I call it and the flop comes down 10 high rainbow. I check to him to see what he does. Sometimes when there called they tend to close up if there bluffing. But he bets out half the pot and straight away I sense hes weak so I call. Thinking back maybe I should of raised the flop bet and been happy to take it there and move on, there are still 2 cards to come and if he did have AK AQ ish he could still catch. But hey Ho..... The turn is the Nuts its the Jack, no flush draws out there only a str draw or gutshot but I am not worried at all unless hes got QQ KK AA But with 1 card to go odds are in my favour so I check. ( People who know me, know I hate checking sets its my pet hate, but on this flop I could afford to check ) Which is what I do, and he bets the pot this time. OK hes committed pretty much now so I shove and he instant calls and its a nothing 5 on the river. He mucks and I collect a nice double up. Nothing wrong with that was there?
But he did not like it one bit, and the insults start..... 5 minutes later he was still calling me and my mother and my bottom..... Pretty straight forward hand really and he was outdrawn.... It happens get over it. Maybe if I had not hit the Jack on the turn and he put the same bet out, maybe I would of folded knowing he was holding either 1 of the top 3 Pockets. Like I said, its rare I get anyone 3 barreling at these limits so logical kicks in. But can you find anything wrong with the play?
We move on....... and its not long before its a blind on blind hand on another table me holding 44 in the BB and SB raises x3 and I call it. I flop the 4 with J 9 and he bets out the pot and I call it. Again not worried about anything and see if he carries on betting.
The turn brings the King and again he pot bets it and I call it. Ok he could have Q10 and made the straight now, if so my fault for not raising the Flop, but I want more cash out of him, and let him hang himself..... The River is another King and fills me up. Ok now I am wanting him to have AK KQ but of course he could have KJ K9. He then shoves and I call. He does have Q10 for the turned straight, but the river paired the board and I win.
I would not of played it any different. You take the chance when you have hands like that, and yeah sometimes it can back fire, but if I went out betting big every time I hit a hand I would find a lot of folds for sure.....
So all the action in the last 30 Min's of a 3hr and 15 min session and by 12-15am the tables start to break and I call it quits.
I check the stats on the PT3 and find I played 619 hands just 7 hands down from the previous night, with a profit of € 14.06. Also makes 4 days running in profit and puts me up 4 buy ins over 4 days with the rake ticking along nicely to. I know its out on the tracker because the tracker can not share a raked pot when its chopped. I had KK v KK tonight for a chopped pot so its out, but still shows € 12.39 which is good after 4 days at these levels.
Bring on tomorrow please........

Good Day...... No GOOD DAY !!!!
This game always throws something up, just when you think you seen it all, out pops something else.....
Go'd day ( oz accent ) Yes very much so I'll say !!!
After recovering from having to get up this morning at the unearthly time of 11am to go see the physio and then having a nap when I got back for an hour I felt up for it today.....
Normally I do not play till after tea which is 7pm, this is because I don't normally have the hunger for it if I played during the day, so I stopped myself till the said time. But I was chatting away on the poker forum and cracked open x2 tables to help me along. Nothing exciting and I lasted an hour then closed down. Slightly up on the session and got in 100 hands or so.
Fully fed and watered, and been out for the daily walk which I do every day to help the back pain limbo up...... ( I don't know why, cos I always feel worse for it when I get back ) I then proceeded to crack open x4 tables. I say 4 because I wanted to try 6 tonight, but I am loving the low buy in tourneys and cant stop myself from playing them...... Anyway back to tonight's action. I was struggling a bit to be honest, and lost a bit when the BB called my button raise and flopped top 2 pair v my top Pair top kicker. But then the fun started......
I'm in the BB holding K10 and 3 limper's so I check and flop comes down 10 10 10 - Loving it !
Of course I check..... Then someone bets out...... Bollox to it, its easier if I post the HH

Yes you saw right, he limped with AA..... Lesson to all NEVER LIMP WITH ACES !!!
So it set me on my way for a good night, but the fun did not stop there. The same guy who I lost to in the BB with top 2 pair, well we clashed again only this time I got him back. I'm holding QJ off on the button and folded round to me and I raise it x3 BB and he 3 bets me to 96c and I call it. The flop comes down KQJ with a flush draw. He bets 3/4 pot and I 3 bet it to €5-15 and he 4 bet shoves. I know I am ahead and I know I just dont want the board to pair.
Turn is the 4 and the river is a 6 and he flips over K10 for top pair with a open ended straight draw which he missed. So I double off him and carry on playing. Nothing else really happens and I opt to go to the bathroom and sit out. When I come back I have been kicked off the tables for missing to many hands.
I play 1 table later on while playing 2 tourneys and make a small profit and then the table starts to break and I call it a night.
Just checked the stats and found I have played a total of 1500 hands in August and I played 626 today for an overall profit for the day of €18.64 which is almost 2 buy ins. I know players can get this in prob an hour or so, but its about progression for me and not a sprint. I watched Jesus on tilt go on about his challenge, and it took him 18 months in all to reach it. Hes a former world champ and knows his stuff and If it takes me 3 years to get there I still think that's very good going. I am pleased with how this turning out and I am proving to myself that I can play some good stuff. Granted I am not a Manic so my swings are never huge, and most of the time I will have winning sessions rather than losing ones because I know Luck does play its part sometimes and you might get your money in good, only to be outdrawn. It happens but its how you deal with it that counts.....
More of the same tomorrow please !!!!!

Well that was a struggle......
Again just the 4 tables tonight and played ok. But I did make a few mistakes and I seemed to tighten up towards the end, so I thought it time I left because I was not comfortable with it.
Nothing major sticks out apart from being 2 outered for 3 all ins, but I took the side pot for a little extra than I invested....

I was rivered a couple of times when holding KK when the Ace hit and they just couldnt fold it no matter how much I was betting.
But slightly better than last night when I had just 1 winning table.... Tonight I had 2.....
Overall I did manage a winning session again. Ok not much but I was happy with the way it went.
I played a total of 463 hands which is slightly up from last night, and yes getting back to the feel of it.
Overall profit was €1.78 for the night.
I can play more hands later on now, if of course the tables manage to stay open after midnight without everyone leaving. Having demonstrated it on Tilt tonight by playing over 200 hands on 1 table while playing x2 MTT's. So I shall look to do it on the challenge tomorrow instead.

Hit and run players are the pits......
Well its back......... The daily Blog.
Geared myself up to play, and opened up x4 tables and found it a bit difficult to keep up at first. Ok I was playing x2 tournaments at the same time, but I still struggled a bit.
Things didnt set off great either when I lost a buy in with JJ, and me putting him on AK and infact he had kk. But it wasnt long before I found myself in deeper shit when I decide to double up a shortstack who then leaves the table straight away. But not to be outdone by this I then proceed to double him again on another table and before I get the chance to say I suppose your going now, he was gone ! I hate these sorts of players, they just sit there wait for a big hand ship it in and run when they double, only to return to another table were your sat again with the Minimum buy in. But I guess it didnt take me long to remember I fold to these players and so I started to.
So not a great start losing 1.5 buy in. But I perceived, and eventually I won my buy in back with KK.

So that made me most of my cash back, then on the same table I 3 bet with 8 6 suited and the flop comes 234 rainbow he checks and I bet he then min raises and I call. I then find the miracle card of the 5 clubs giving me a straight and also a flush draw as well, and think there is no way he can put me on a 6, so I bet out and again he raises and I am guessing now hes got to have an ace or Poss 2 of them, so I shove knowing he thinks I have an ace as well and sure enough he calls and the river is a nothing card and I collect the pot of €15.49.

That pot took me over the 1.5 buy in on that table and at that point I decided to close the other 3 down as well. I actually lost on the other 3 but apart from the buy in it was not much just the Hit and run guy who now as a note attatched to his name.
Overall I played 400 hands spot on and was happy with that for the 1st day anyway and made an overall profit of €6.27.
I must also say the level of play I encountered tonight was more aggressive from a few new players I had not seen before. I hope they dont come and spoil my fun......... More tomorrow please....

Almost there...........
No, not 10k..... But the 1st August when I will be ready to resume the challenge. I say resume, but it is not entirly true. Although I have had to take things easy since the OP I have of course managed to play very small amounts.
First the update on my health.....
Its been 6 weeks now since the OP and although everything has nearly healed ( the scar on the back keeps oozing at the moment ), the pain remains unchanged. But with my new massage chair which was purchased last week all thanks to my fellow poker friends I find I can again play some poker. I didnt want to start mid way in the month and wanted to wait till the start of the month which I have mentioned before.
I got a call from the GP this week after she had been in touch with my Pain Management, and both were satisfied that I should now be referred to St Guys in London to try a new procedure called a Spinal Cord Stimulation because I was already taking the strongest painkillers along with the highest doseage and still felt the pain to a degree of discomfort. So I was once again worried that this would interfere with a month of my challenge, because I really need the start of a month and be able to play all through that month to take advantage of the rakeback deal. So I phoned St Guys to find out how long these things take because I had no idea on the length of time before I was seen. I was told the referal normally takes 8 weeks to see the Consultant and then if everything is ok, the Op would be done Prob Nov this year give a month or two latest. So at least I know I have some time to play, although the pain is still an Issue, so unsure if I will be able to maintain the tables or the hours I was playing before. I still think 10k hands in the month is very get able for me, but pain levels will for sure play a part.....
So like I said I have been playing, nothing too much though. I played there Promotion this week and managed a €3 cash. All the players who made top 750 all got the same, apart from the winner who received €1250. Played a couple of 50c tournies in the wee hours to pass a bit of time. But today I played the trusty 10c rebuy...... Failed is the word I would use... My timing sucks sometimes..... Getting near the bubble so I put a bit of pressure on and shove the blinds with K3 fully expecting the folds.... Unless SB has KK and BB has AA. OUT I go.... So I think I will try the cash table. Note the table and not tables? Yes just 1 table to try and get my €3 back from a rebuy freeroll tourny part of the promotion which had €1 rebuys and the top 250 all received €20. Off course I had to have the table were no one re bought and thought it fun to call my all in with 10 3 off for there life and me holding KK to see a flop of 33x it got worse, and 3 rebuys later I had enough and left. So wanted my cash back and like I said opened up 1 table and was helped with a nice bluff then flopped the nut flush and someone betting into me...... All good yes it was till the river paired the board and I was forced to pay the value bet off with the boat..... Not to be outdone and somewhat pleased I didnt go bust on that hand I topped up the cash and again I find myself facing a 3 bet before its reached me with 10 10. I take the chance the raiser will just call and not shove so I call the 3 bet and so does he. The flop comes down 10 high with a flush draw. Instant push and call from the other 2. The fact the shove is 8 times the pot didnt seem to bother the caller so you have to think AA V KK or QQ. I am in front and of course I make the call. Turn Q River 2, flush hits but thankfully no one had it. I know the caller had JJ but I dont know what the other player had because it was mucked. I win a €26.60 pot and that puts me over the 1.5 buy in up so I have to leave 2 hands later. I would hate it done to me but rules are rules............ I think its the biggest pot I have won during this challenge and I even managed a punching of the air for my efforts.
I dont know if I will play tomorrow or leave it till the 1st. But I now have a balance of €1421.95. I would post the graphs up, but there still in $ and I have to wait for the upgrade from PT3 in order for the € to replace the $. I might still post a couple of pics of the grind up next month.

Guess who's back..........
Thats right, I am back.....
New chair delivered today, 2 hrs to assemble and off we go.
I am going to be hitting the challenge again once this month is over so I can start a fresh with a new month. I might even get to finish a full month off this time to, but I guess I should not of said that because whenever I have mentioned it I get screwed over.
But really looking forward to cracking on again. Stay tuned peeps!!!!

Still not good :-(
I was not expecting to be still layed up on the 4th July, but I am.
Still unable to play, due to the constant breaking down, and the medication I am taking.
I think I am going for a record....... Because I am currently taking 8 different kinds of Medication, and the annoying thing is.... I am still in pain.
I dont know when I can return to be honest. If I say 1st August it at least gives me something to aim for. The life I have at the moment I would not wish on my worst enemy, well maybe the Defence medical Dr :-0
Serious though, its killing me and I cant do anything about it. Fingers crossed for the 1st August.

Not good
I don't have too long, so I will try and explain whats what.
I was discharged late Monday night, with me being in more pain than before the 2ND Op.
My surgeon explained to me that what I had removed in cement ( which was the term called for the leakage of between my disc ) that it was certainly not the cause of my pain, and there is nothing else she can do now. She doesn't know what the problem is now and it was decided that I was just one of the 5% that this AxiaLif Op I had 1st did not work on.
Like I said I am in more pain now than before I went in for the 2ND Op, and I have been told I should not be in this pain because I had a Bi-Lat Microsurgery, and people are sent home the next day with no pain what so ever, so I knew something else was wrong now.
I have been told that I must give it 8 weeks for all the bruising and the wound to heal, but after the 8 weeks whatever state I am in after will be my final state. Its been mentioned I might of suffered Permanent Nerve damage from the 1st Op, if so I am screwed anyway.
Present condition is still very sore. I am still in the same pain I was in when I come round after the Op. Nothing has calmed down, and at the moment I still look like ET when attempting to walk. I suffer big time whenever I move the bottom of my spine. I have been told I can not sit for longer than 20 Min's for 6 weeks and at the moment I am unable to so anyway.
They have upped my already top of the range painkillers dosage to double what I was taking, and I still feel the pain, granted far less after taking the medication, but It still doesn't stop me from screaming out whenever I move the bottom of spine.
The Next step is to wait the 8 weeks, and see what state I am in, and than I will know the full extent of the damage and then its off to London St Guy's Hospital to see a chronic Pain Management team on how to deal with the pain long term. I am also going to see about going to a shrink, because this as Knocked me for 6 and at the moment I am vulnerable to Suicide thoughts. You can imagine how I am feeling right now. I have to lie down for most of the day, be drugged up and basically just waste away while suffering chronic pain spasms in my back, as well has knowing there is nothing Else that can be done.
So for the above reasons I will not be around too much if at all during the next 6 weeks.
Sorry it is so negative, but I do not know what else to say or do. I should not be in the pain I am in from the 2ND Op, I will have to deal with the problem after the 8 weeks and even if I do heal back to my condition before this Op it is still no fun, which if you saw me in Brum you would know.
This as taken me most of the day to write this via an email, and then copied and pasted if your wondering.........

So tomorrow is the day...
Ok the OP is tomorrow, and will be in for a week, so no updates until I return from Hospital. I will update once I am able to, and then hopefully be able to play some poker on the 1st July. Everything crossed of course !

Still all quiet on the Western front......
Hell, I think its called! Thats what I am going through at the moment......
I haven't got a clue what, whom or anything else thats going on with me. I cant sleep which I have put down to the change in Medication. When I do sleep, I cant wake up. I am not eating, which I need to of course, but I have to in order to take the medication. I still have no chair for the computer, so if I was able to play any poker at all I would find it hard because of the pain while sitting on a hard back stool.
I just have no get up and go, and I am really struggling with the depression at the moment, obv not helping with the reasons above. But I guess I only have to wait another 4 days, and then its the OP.
Who knows...... this time next week....... It could all be different.
So just a quick update on my progress, and why I haven't played or posted in here. Thanks for all who keep coming back to see if I have updated, and once I am out hopefully fully relieved of the back pain, I can then ditch the medication, and try and get on with this challenge.
One of my poker goals for 2010 was to make it to at least €2k. So some hard work going to be needed, if I want to reach that goal by the end of the year !

All quiet on the Western Front.
Sorry folks, but with no recling Chair cos its broke, pills sending me into a world of forgetfullness coupled with me in a complete depessive state over the last 2 days, I thought it best I don't play until I feel a bit better.
Of course I am gutted and I know the people following this challenge will understand as well. Who knows I might feel a bit better tomorrow.......

I dont care I still won........
Felt so so today, but with not having a chair now because the reliner is broke, I cant sit for any length of time now, so its a bit difficult. But I Just need my fix for the day....
Played a couple of tables for a while and nothing stood out regards play.
Just short of 2 hours I played and managed 179 hands. Not great but like I said, I get my fix, and its about tolerable on the back. Checked the stats and I won 15c..... Hence the headline..... but its another green on chart, which is what counts, well it doesnt really :-0.
Hospital tomorrow for my pre Op Assessment @ 1-30 pm and considering its 2am at the moment I dont feel the slightest bit tired so getting up could prove difficult.

Time is a great healer ( Apprently )
Its strange..... Maybe I'm a bat or something. But when I take the pills from when I get up which is mid day ish to about 9 / 10pm I am monged with the pills, and then after I take them for the night I seem to wake up. Strange........
Anyways been Monged most of the day, and was still in pain, then about 10pm felt a bit ok ish and cracked open just a couple of tables, and watched Spooks on the other Monitor as well. Cant beat the old Multi-tasking.....
Nothing major to report really. Won 3/4 of a buy in virtually straight away, and that was it. It gradually went down and back up and back down, before I called it a day. I have said its going to be when and how I feel. But I aint half going to miss playing poker when in Hospital :-(
Tonight's figures are played x2 tables for 2.5 hours with a total of 292 hands played and winning €3.77 yes I said Winning.... Back over 1.4k again.
They have a promo running from the 11th June for entry into some freeroll to run along with the World cup, It starts off with 10k and every goal scored they increase it by €50 I think. So might get in that depending on the size of the fields.

Hook Line and suckered........
No recling chair, no relief from the pain. So what do I do....... Yup I play a little poker.
I take the pills @ 10 pm, and by midnight I was not feeling sleepy this time, so I cracked open 4 tables just for an hour.
Made a great start, and then Boom..... Not moaning, it happens. But when your down, its not nice to be kicked while your down.....
Me in SB with KJ and 3 limpers, and I just make it up and BB checks. Flop KKJ, happy days..... I bet out, I dont know why really, most of the time it gets folded round but I figured if someone bets out and I call its pretty obv I have it, so I elect to bet out 3/4 pot and Button calls. Turn a nothing card, again I bet 3/4 pot and again he calls. Ok so I am now rubbing my hands....... The worse 2 cards are obv the Q and ace if I was afraid of anything..... The river is the Ace. So to look weak and keep it cheap Just incase, I bet about 1/4 pot and he instant over bets the pot. So there I have him. I was going to call if he raised, and yes I still did. But I was not expecting to see AA though, which is what he showed. So yes I lost almost a buy in, and you cant do anything different. I was holding the 3rd nuts and I dont fold that at these levels. Just amazed he limped with AA I didnt even put him on AK, because you'd thought he would of raised pre.
Anyways I never recovered and after an hour I packed up when eventually the tables started to break.
Its very uncomfy for me now playing, and Like mentioned in previous posts with everything happening now, all I can do is play when I feel fit too. But with the added no chair, I cant sit on a normal chair for any length of time.
I have dipped back below the €1.4k but only just. But I expect to lose some nights, and tonight I could not of done anything different.
I played a total 377 hands tonight and lost €2.30. Although only minor losses I have only won 1 session in June, but its still when added up not even a buy in, I just dont like the red........
Will see how I feel tomorrow. Will still play, just a case of how long.

When your chips are down......
Well I can now say with confidence, that poker and new pills do not agree simples....
I tried yesterday and thought it might just be a blip, but I can not do both. Basically I slept for 10 hrs from 4am this morning to 2pm. Took the medication before 6pm and I was snoring my head off for 7-30 ish. Even when I woke @ 10pm I still felt like shit, but the worse part is, they dont touch the pain.
To make matters worse, my recling massage chair which was bought for me for christmas, has broke and now have to sit on a hard back chair, which doesnt help.
I tried a bit of poker, but to be honest, its killing me playing, and its suppose to be an enjoyable experience.
The poker gods must know as well, because I just know, in what little poker I played I was going to get mashed up tonight. I played a 20 man stt and went out on the bubble with AA v KK and of course the King flopped, funny thing was I expected it.
I tried to play some cash, but with the above reasons I quit after 100 odd hands.
I am really struggling to even write this, so Its best I just close.
I thank you for the continued support, but its just not happening for me at the moment!

Mixed emotions
I mentioned last night that I was going to be on the new medication from today, and yes I did take it. The problem I have is they do feck all for the pain, but I feel so drowsy after taking them, so I am finding it hard to concentrate enough, but also had another shock today in the post regards my back OP. It seems strange that you receive your appointment date for the OP the same day you have an MRI which I received this morning. The fact its bang in the middle of June now throws a spanner in the works regards my able to play a full month. So I have had to knock the 3 leagues I was going for, and basically just going to see how I go from now till the OP date which is on the 17th June.
I might start playing during the day, when I don't feel so bad. I know I don't really want to play during the day, and at the moment I am not convinced enough whether to try and rake the €100. I'm in Hospital for a week but after that I don't know if I will be mobile enough to get around to even play out the rest of the month. So will just have too see. But it might be wise just to do what I did tonight, and not over do anything, but just keep ticking over although I receive nothing back in rake if I don't reach that €100.
Anyways like I said I was feeling very drowsy, but went ahead about 10 pm and opened up 4 tables, and basically played till 1am. The really boring bit, is nothing really stands out tonight regards my cash games. I did play 5 stt and managed to cock all them up with 1 in particular....... The guy was prob wetting himself when I am betting into him on a board of Ace 5 9 rainbow, and me holding JJ, the turn brings another ace, so I shove because there's no way hes got an ace. I was right..... He didn't have an ace..... he had 2 of them for quads :-(
To be honest I did feel it hard to concentrate in them and also some other MTT's I played earlier in the night.
But back to the cash, and if I could pick 1 hand to post about I would er have to think hard........ I have just checked the Tracker and it shows something when my biggest winning hand was 3 4 off for €4.08.....Told you it was bad, and the biggest losing hand was when I held 88 and called a raise with it only for a shorty of €2 to shove, the raiser folded, and was pretty certain I was racing, and yup I was v AK..... Turn Ace river King, but that was my biggest losing hand for €2.....
On closer inspection of the Tracker after that hand the next biggest losing hand was 50c. Wow I must of been really zonked........ Well I wanted to know what effect the pills would have on me, and I guess I have my answer.
So tonights stats are, played 556 hands in 3 hours with a profit of €1.53, stops the losing streak of losing for the 3rd time in a row. Not massive, and I might even give the 10c rebuy I go tomorrow, my old trusty friend.
The effort just to write this is hard, and sorry for the poor English if you come across any, but its also painful to write.
Anyways thats me done for another night, and see what tomorrow brings.

Dont forget the bloody Batteries......
Went out early tonight in all the mtt's I played so I had some proper time to get stuck in.
I managed to sort the account out with regards the pending bonus, so now I can hammer it like I wanted to with the Juicy 45% rakeback.
So set off and after last night I thought the bedding in was ok after the time away so straight away opened x8 cash tables. But never really got going. It sounds pretty weird because I was getting some bluffs past but overall I had nothing to work with, and when you have 8 tables on the go, its sort of huh......
But carried on regardless and a quick check on the tracker showed I was in profit after 450 odd hands, another hour later with the same non starters and a couple of bluffs being called I was then down for the session with 800 odd hands played.
The tables I could sense were now struggling to stay full and then it happened.......
I suddenly had a rush of cards on all tables, and I was clicking all over the shop. I had 2 sets being played out and had betting going on and then NOOOOOOOOO the batteries in the cordless Mouse died.
Headset ripped off my head, running round trying to find the recharger with the spares but no it was too late, timed out and folded. I don't know how much it cost me but I was pissed so I then started closing down the tables. I had to move away because I was so annoyed, and when I checked the balance after it settled down I found I was down on the night. I would of been up otherwise, so a lesson learnt I guess. But overall I put my shift in and after checking my PT3 it shows I played a total of 1126 hands and was down €1.01 for the night.
Tomorrow is the start of the new drugs, the proper shitty ones. I honestly don't know how its going to be. I may find I am put on the lowest dose which wont effect me to start, and then gradually work up to a level were it will. I take 14 pills a day now and they dont do Jack for me, but combined with the new ones like I said I honestly dont know. I will of course keep you posted. For me not to carry on with this would probably see me off to be honest because its such a mental relaxant for me.
Also for the people who are on my facebook, you will see I am no longer on there. I have decided to delete the account until the Compensation claim is settled for personal privacy reasons.

So the break is over then........
Well its finally arrived, the 1st June......
But all is not well in the Plaza Camp. But why........
I thought I would slide myself in gradually before the x8 tables, so set off with just 4 tonight. Was not impressed when I lost a buy in with AA v KJ when he flopped 2 pair, and I didnt improve. But I managed a set v set all in on a flop of J 10 8 all diamonds, with either of us holding a diamond. He shoves and I think about folding, but its not something I do when holding top set, granted I could of been miles behind, but I had outs, like the AA hand. But with no 4th Diamond he flips 10 10 for middle set, also another all in on the flop but he was only half chipped up, but I won 1.5 buy in on 1 hand, and rules are rules I left when the Blinds reached me.
I had KK 4 times and amazingly I didnt meet AA, but didnt win much with all folds pre. Took a few small hits and decided to leave it for the night, when the time turned 1am.
I checked the Account and found I was up €7 but the tracker was showing I was down €3.11, then I noticed my pending Bonus had gone down €10.
I am pissed because I emailed the guy and told him I still had this Pending bonus still in the account and I was leaving it till the 1st June, when he told me the 45% rakeback will start. Which is why I never played since mid May. So after this I am going to email him and find out whats going on.
Anyways tonights figures are played a total of just 452 hands and with a loss of €3.11 but up overall on the account. I played just 2 hrs tonight because I have decided to play 3 leagues this month, and went quite deep in 1 and also another poker goal to make 1k without Buying in this year. Thats almost complete, and finished 31st from 850 ish runners. I am thinking that goal will be finished by the end of June.
Will let you know the outcome of the email, but if its the case I am still on the pending bonus I dont know what to do...........

Me done Till June now
I didnt think I would play anything, and I havent.
Which leaves me now taking a week away up north to visit Family, and then crack on again full steam ahead come 1st June.
The break will do me good, I just hope to god, these pills dont interupt me playing, because I would be gutted if I couldnt carry on. To be able to play x8 tables you need some sort of wit about you, but if I find I can not concentrate enough I will just have to come up with another plan. But thats being a little negative before I have even tried them. But thats the 3rd June when I take them for the 1st time.
Just to show off my €1.4k balance before I leave you till the 1st June which is below and just to say thanks for the Peeps who keep checking my progress time and time again on here. I thank you all !

The Man from Del Monte, he say Yeahhhhhh
What more can I say.........
€1.4k boom....... But hell I had to work for it.....
I started just 1 table on cash up and kept on playing when a big fat juicy fish appeared. Playing 80% of pots, and noticed if it was checked to him he pot betted everything and Anything. So I sat there for about 3hrs, trying to set the trap. But of course, things didnt turn out like they planned. Dont get me worng, I did bust him..... But only for his last 36c :-(
Someone got there before me, so I then set about the task of recovering all the limp pots I entered and missed everything all the time..... I managed to play 164 hands and the table broke so I was left with a loss of €1.52 which was not bad after all the chasing I was doing.
So decided to play the 11pm to keep me going, with a mission to go deep this time.
Its basically played like a 10c rebuy, the play is crazy, and if you avoid the muppets and get some cards and simple ABC poker is good enough. Which is what I did, and managed a respectful 8th when my 88 shove was called by a muppet who was shoving when he entered a pot regardless of how many BB he had. Anyways I was ahead v KJ but the J on the flop killed me.
I would of loved to win it and totally by-pass the €1.4k and go straight to €1.5k but it was not to be. I never got my money in bad, so I can not complain.
But like I said its now done, and the total is €1405..........
I dont know If I will play anymore now before 1st June, with only 2 days before my trip away. But I will let you know and keep you updated...........

Well that was quick...........
Felt a little better tonight, and took up the 10c rebuy again, and with a total outlay of Just 40c I managed a respectful 43rd for er not much more.
Then played the 10pm €1 turbo Bounty and took 2 out, was a freerolling so was level in that and took some chances and didnt get lucky for mid table finish, and to top it off I played the 11pm and lasted ohhh probably an hour.
Decided to watch the EPT London on stars which took 3 hours and thought I wonder if there is any cash game running, being it a Euro site.
Just 1 table running, so thought meh go on then and bought in. 6 hands later the table died and I decided to leave has well, but not before I managed to double up on the 4th Hand..... KK in early Position raised and BB 3 bet me. Having just watch the EPT I elected to call on the basis of slow playing just like I watched just 30 mins before.
Of course I dread the AA coming out when I have KK, and being tired I though no just once I will slow play and whatever happens I call anything. Flop comes down 887 with a flush draw, but no I check to the aggressor and sure enough he pot bets it and I just shove and he calls, turn 2 river 3 and he flips 99 for my double. Happy days!
So yet again I am so close to the 1.4k and need to reboot the site for the final figure. But its roughly €4 short, and defo want to get there before I go away on Saturday night, which really should not be hard........

You know when you have that feeling.....
Well tonight was it.
Again not been myself recently and didnt play yesterday night.
To be honest I Just want 1st June to arrive, so I can crack on, and it will keep me going in more ways than one.
But tonight I just could not get motivated to even play any Mtt's, but decided late on to try 5 stt 5 seaters. You know its not your night when your getting bullied all over the place, and getting sucked out on. The last game was the final straw for tonight. I like to be fairly active in these and Raise with A6 and get called and flop trip 6's, I bet it and get called, turn blank I pot bet and he shoves and Insta call, and he shows Q2 on a Q664 board..... River Yup Q.
Not moaning, just one of those things, but I should not of bothered in the first place. I am sure the poker gods see this and decide to Punish you !
Anyways only another 4 days to go before my trip up north and lets see if I can break the 1.4k mark before then.
Latest update on the new drugs I will be taking are on hold till the 3rd June. Thats when I take the 1st dose, and until then I dont know how they will effect me.

Meh Bombed.........
I was too tired last night to post and with not a lot happening there was no point really.
I tried to play really well for the 100 seats freeroll. But I guess I was expecting too much when it was a freeroll and my AK was pushed all in pre by the BB who was holding J5 off to hit the 5. Would not mind, but that was for his life. Anyways thats gone now.
I played just 1 stt 5 seater and was too whacked to play anymore but managed 2nd. Pretty standard finish really my AQ was pushed all in pre when he had raised and called with 55 to cripple me when I missed.
I do wonder if I played it different, if he was able to fold 55 after missing the flop when I push. But apart from that nothing to report.
So a small add, and hope to play somemore tonight.

Due to .........................
Had a pretty good night regards poker, and in doing so I have not been able to play at all today in the challenge, and I was desperate to get the €1.4k........
But another of my poker goals / challenges for 2010 was to make $1k in Mtt's without buying into any tournaments. I played a UB deepstack and finished 3rd for $397 which takes that challenge to $935. But it lasted almost 6 hrs and I was drained afterwards.
So it made sense not to play anymore tonight.
I have a freeroll tomorrow on Euro Superpoker ( my 10k challenge poker site ), which is for the top 100 to be entered into the Monthly €100k. Of course if I manage to grab a seat I am hoping I can de reg on the day and pocket the tourney credits, but it will also kill off the above challenge has well because I think its worth €140 + €10 and its a freeroll.

Ohhhhhh I can smell it......
Not much tonight, infact I didnt play anything until Midnight. I was playing PLO on another site so I fired x2 tables to stop me being bored and then lost the 1st 3 hands, which puts me back to Minus, but bollox to it I aint bothered about winning every month. I wrote my reasons for not hammmering it till June. So thats that, medication pending of course.
I was €4.89 down when I give up after just 104 hands when the tables starting closing down.
I then closed down the PLO on the other site winning x2 Buyings, helped by flopping Quads and someone betting pot into you.
Started to look for a 5 seater STT to win to make some cash back, and with the time almost 2am and a European site, the nearest I could find was a €3 with 2 waiting. Jumped in and within the 1st 2 hands we had lost 2 players. Shame it was not to me, but some muppet. Then it was heads up when the other guy flops a flush, granted only 8 high and big stack Muppet shoves with Q9 9 being the diamond and hits another diamond to send him out. Least I cash and with me on 1.2k and him 6.3k not much chance really.................... However I shove all in pre with A8 and he calls with Q7 and he misses. Then I flop a straight and he flops 2 pr so now I own his arse.
Last hand was a good call by me if Im honest, to win it. I have 3 4 and he raised it and I hit bottom pair and checked it on a board of 9 6 3, and bets pot and I call. Turn brings another 9 and he checks this time and then the river brings a Jack, I check and he shoves. He's done it 3 times before and I let it go all 3 times. But after using my thinking time up I call.......... Sure he could have the trip 9's but I dont think he would shove and not get paid. So I think he cant have anything because he wouldnt shove otherwise, because I could of slow played the trip 9's myself. Anyways he shows AQ for nothing and I ship €10.50 for the win. I was chuffed with the way I played in this hence the long speech :-)
So recovered my loss in the cash and now stand at €1394. I might, and I say might play some more tomorrow and get it over the 1.4k for the 1st time.

Ha, Knew I would get my own back......
Nothing Major, had a mare of a day in the personal life, not helped with car refusing to start in a Hospital car park.
So only played the Turbo Bounty game @ 10 pm €1. Yes I managed to win something this time, took out 5 peeps and also cashed, think finishing in 23rd for not much more than the buy in. But takes me ever closer to the €1.4k mark.
I think I need to add this to the blog, because it effects it to some degree.
I mentioned Hospital and thats because I had to go to Pain Management clinic, and basically thats because yeah I'm in pain. His words were, wow what your taking should knockout a rhino....... Only trouble I have with that statement is there not even touching me.
So how do I play poker then......... Well I feel like Stephen Hawkins actually.... I have reclining chair fully tilted back with cushions and pillows to support me, which then enables me to click away with a cordless mouse.
But back to the Hospital. What hes perscribed are really bad shit, and I have checked out on the internet, and hes not kidding.........
Hes told me I will become addicted to them pretty quickly, and I cant just stop taking them because of the withdrawals I will suffer. If I ever drink with these it could cause death. All thats just for starters.... Obv I dont know how there going to effect me regards alertness or whether I will be proper monged out and unable to play poker. But my health has to come first and foremost, Gutted of course, but there still might be a chance I am ok and painfree. I wont know till I take them. I have decided not to take it till I come back from up north to visit the family and call in and see some friends in Brum, which is in 2 weeks. Also means I can have a drink or two, which of course will be my last. I have to go back in 6 months to see him, hopefully by then I will have had the op on my back to correct all the shit thats gone wrong, and come Next year I hope to be a new person......
For those wondering and if of course anyone have used these drugs Please let me know, because I am bricking it after reading about it.
Anyways there are 2 I will be taking along with some of the other shit I am already taking, but these are called OxyNorm and Oxycontin both in 5mg.

The love of my Life............
When I started this challenge way back in March in 2009, it was a struggle to say the least. But I carried on and on playing the x 3 weekly €20 freerolls and eventually built up enough to play the 2/4c cash tables and also the 10c rebuy tourney.
Well Because I am on a sort of mini break with the cash, and with Stars and tilt both having the Scoop and Ftops running I really didnt have a lot of time for the challenge regards Mtt's.
But then I remembered my old fav back in the days, the 10c rebuy..... Normal rules were I could not rebuy more than once, maybe twice if I was sucked out on and the add on at the end. I would tend to build my stack to about 12k in the 1st hour and then take the add on.
Anyway I decided although I have €1360, to have a bash and keep me entertained while playing both the scoop and Ftops. I also now remember why I stopped playing on both sites........ But this blog is not about Badbeats on other sites tourney's.
So I clicked to play the 10c rebuy. 1st hand all in and trebled. 2nd hand called 5 all ins with 88 and flopped a boat. That was me done unless I got AA.......... Didnt take the add on and was on about 15k after the break.
Long story short, no rebuys, no add ons total out lay 12c.............
I didnt quite make it to the win and finished 2nd for €30.52. I was ahead pre with AK v Q4 lost that and was crippled. Overall I have to be chuffed, these were and still are a total donkfest and its expected with 10c rebuys I guess. But although I have the cash to play much higher, it just goes to show it can still be done if anyone wants to give it a go...............

Comp problems yesterday sorry....
I like to keep this blog updated on a daily basis, but the computer was playing up this morning @ 3am and I was too tired to reboot.
For the record, and I still cant believe this, but I played the bounty €1 for the 4th time and still took no one out and didnt cash. Unreal, I normally take at least 4 or 5 out and normally do pretty well.
I also missed the 11pm €2 for the 2nd time running. I was playing / watching several friends deep in tournies and simply forgot.
So to make up a bit of cash I had wasted on the Bounty games I played 4 Sit n go's 5 man tables for €1. I managed to win 2, bubbled one and 4th in the other. Which basically keeps me on the same amount of cash I started the week with.

ermmmmm Played..........
I decided I was going to play the same as last night, but then left it too late for reg for the 11pm €2. So all I played was the €1 turbo Bounty game, and gained a total of NO Bounties again....... Then crashed and burned.
Was messing about on another site tonight were they give you $100 free playable cash if you deposit $400, so was checking that out, and thinking what I could with it in a form of a challenge.
Anyways I played a Stt and again a 2nd and then played PLO cash and doubled my buy in then lost it, then re gained it, and then come off.
I dont know, I might see if I can turn it into a quick 1k somehow, and then I could book Vegas for Oct. Only prob is you have to play through the $100 x20 times before you can withdraw it, so its going to have be some sort of cash game I guess.
Might see what the No Limits game are like.

Wow no cash play.
Short and sweet today.
Played the 10pm €1 Knockout Turbo, and got rivered 3 times when miles ahead to win Nothing.......
Played the 11pm €2, last almost an hour when I shove Button with x10 BB with A8 and SB has AQ out again win nothing.
Decided I would play a 5 seater €1 Stt and won it for €3.50.
Lost a few cents with rake. But I got my fix :-)

Weeeeeeeeeeee
I say weeeeeeeee, I still had another flop set v flop set........
But I did what I was trying to do when my set rivered a boat on another table too get me profit for May.
Only played x2 tables for 2 hrs while I was playing the €2 Mtt.
KK in SB and the 5 limpers pre before me have to pay, so I up it by x8 BB in the middle stages of the tourny. Hes no way chipped up and elects to call and the flop comes down 2 6 J rainbow, so I auto shove on the flop, and he calls leaving just 5 BB himself. He flips 6 9 off......... Told ya there all mupppets. Anyways he rivers a 9 and out I go......
But I knew these can be awful games, so I just close it down.
Pressed the refresh on the tracker to find I have managed to go Green for May. Happy days......
Hands played tonight are 141 with a profit €5.92 which of course means I am in Profit for May by €1.60, having paid €24.01 in rake.
So going to concentrate on the Mtt's and Stt for a while. Nothing major, just something to tick me over till 1st June.

Nice and easy, nice and easy.......
I have got to the stage now, were its not really profitable for me to play with no reward with the deposit bonus which runs out in 2 days. I am not going to rake €50 in 2 days so I am not going to gain anymore from that, and then the 45% rakeback kicks in, but with only 12 days after till I take my Yearly visit to see the family up north, there is no way I can rake in the minimum of €100 for any sort of rakeback deal to kick off in such a short space of time. I could I suppose if I hammered it. But its not about hammering it, its about me enjoying doing it, and not a daily grind which it would become.
Tonight was basically like that, I am sure I have reached the 2nd release of the deposit bonus regardless if the PT3 is slightly out, just not too sure if its done automatically or what. But I played x4 cash tables while doing other things just to get me over that mark. Nothing major apart from having KK 4 times in 50 hands on 1 table, and twice I met AA. Told ya there cursed on that site..... Sent me into Minus again for the day, but I made some up, and then basically couldn't be bothered with nothing to play for regards rewards.
I have decided to play a few MTT'S till I go up North to see how I go on in them, and its probably the only time I will have really to play them, because once 1st June hits, that's me back to the cash tables and 20k a month min hands.
I did play the same tourney I played in last night, but its pure hell donkfest. Nothing is respected, over shoves are insane, and they basically haven't got a clue. But for €2 you don't expect them to I suppose. Anyways I was slow played when I flopped the top pr top kicker and the nut flush draw to boot, so although he over shoved massive I had the odds to call with me not knowing what he had. Missed and that was game over.
Knocked up a couple of cash tables to just plod on with while doing other stuff, and basically just come off then now after 100 hands or so between them.
Well one thing is for sure I have stopped the losing streak........ Not much but green is better than red on the tracker......
So tonight's figures are played 603 hands and made a profit €3.49. I am still losing for May, and " might " just try and see if I can turn that green before I finish for May with it being only €4.32....
So the daily reports will not really consist of much until 1st June, but I will still update the blog to let you know about the Mtt's over the next 12 days or so.

Never ever slow play AA
Just when I turned everything around BANG it was gone.
Felt a tad better with a small helping of food and later on in the night felt up to opening x6 cash tables. Moving along nicely and was pretty chuffed that I already turned a profit of 1.5 buy ins in less than 200 hands.
This was down to being dealt AA about 5 times on the same table when I have raised it, and got 1 caller only for them to fold on the flop.
So yet again I get AA in the BB this time and its raised UTG +1 to 4.5 BB and folded round to me. Stats show him pretty tightish but not many hands on him. So with me not making money and slightly pissed off with no customers on the previous AA's I elect to call for a change. The flop comes down A 7 J with 2 diamonds. So like I said I wanted to get paid, after all I have the nuts on the flop, and unless hes holding AK diamonds I am pretty safe so I check and he pot bets. Ok now I am thinking hes not afraid of the Ace, maybe hes hit a set of Jacks which yeah was a possiblity, so I elect to call. Turn brings the 3rd diamond and again I check, still convinced hes got set Jacks now, and again he pot bets it. I think ok enough is enough, I am sure if he had the nuts on the turn he would of slowed down and want to get paid, so I ruled out AK diamonds so I then shove and he instant calls and shows Q 10 diamonds. The board doesnt pair and boom buy in down the pan.
Its just frustrating and I know people reading this will say you should never slow play etc etc. But I was getting sick of not reaping the rewards from top hands.
I know if I 3 bet pre he would of prob folded, and again I would of felt I let a chance go. So is there a lesson to be learnt? I still dont know, I tried something different and it caught me, but is it going to catch me the next time I try it...... Maybe I was just unfortunate with the hand........ Anyways reloaded and carried on.
Infact I never recovered and I lost more and more, only little bits to rivered 2 pairs to 4 to straight on the board when your holding a set and flushed. Which brings me to the next hand.
Im in the SB with 7 4 diamonds and its been limped round 4 callers and I make up and the BB checks. Flop comes J 6 8 all diamonds happy days....... No messing pot bet out because I am sure someone will have the Ace, so have to make then pay, and of course I have gutshot Straight Flush draw. Button raises which then got me thinking I know where the ace is now. I call just incase the another diamond turns up and I can let it go, or if the board pairs again I know I can get away from it. Turn is a blank and I check and again he 3/4 bets the pot and again I call it. I did think about shoving at this point, but I had built my stack up on this table and didnt want to over commit just incase for the reasons given, but it was also coming to my mind he might of flopped a flush. Anyways the river is a blank as well so with no paired board and no 4th Diamond, the only hand I am losing to is another flush. Just incase, I check again going for check call, happy with whats in the pot. He then pots it again, so left with 2 choices, now hes bluffing with the missed ace or hes got the flush. I ponder, sigh because I do think I am beat or is he really that strong. I hit the call button which is what I was going to do, and he flopped the nuts AQ diamonds. Lost a chunk of cash which I had built up but still added up to almost a buy in.
Again I look back and think did I play it right, well I must of done because I didnt want to get greedy, which would of resulted in going broke. But the fact he limped on the button with AQ suited got me. If I checked the flop would he have slow played it a bit..... Again I dont know. But I bet out not thinking someone actually flopped the nuts, which then convinced me he was chasing the 4th Diamond with the strong bets.
I made some back in a silly pot, but I was a bit tilting, and thought bollox to it. I had someone shove after a flop of J high and me holding QQ with only 55c in the pot with no flush or straight draws. He shoves for like €4.40 I called expecting to see anything really. But he flipped A4 off for nothing, and I take it.
Told ya some weird people play some hands strange, although I am still stat building and note taking I know its times like this which make me want to take a break. But if I do I could be losing out on some decent cash, if of course I dont hang myself in the first place. I am also aware Jesus Ferguson did not run good all the time, he got is money in good and took the chance which I tend to do at times, but I also tend to air a bit of caution at the same time. This is not a sprint its is a marathon and I think but not 100% that it took him 18 months to complete his. He also had a slightly different set of rules for him to progress. More so he was allowed to buy into any cash game with 5% of his role which is a lot really thinking about it, its only 20 Buy ins at the level he was playing, and for a decent bankroll its suggested nothing less than 50 Buy ins at the level your bankrolled for. Were mine is 1%. Also he was able to buy into any tournament for 2% of his Bankroll, again its suggested 1% to withstand the variance side of things. With that he also had a 5% buy in for any sit n go, which is very large considering again the Variance side of things.
Maybe mine is a bit small on the STT and could up to 2% max, but quite happy with the current 1% I abide to.
I have tried a couple of STT later in the evenings, just to see if they are worth it, and maybe too tired to really get a grip, but lost a couple heads up, but was only playing 5 handed.
But the challenge continues, and after reading Jesus Fergusons tips on a bankroll challenge I feel ok with what I am doing, although it is 3 losing days playing in a row, but again considering what I have done tonight I should be down a hell of a lot more.
So the figures for tonight are :- played 691 hands in 3hrs and was down €3.87 which gives me a loss of €3.98 for May having played a total of 2753 hands. The only winner seems to be the rake which is €14.06 for May......

Dam pesky Bugs.
Like mentioned in the previous post at the end, I was not feeling too well.
It got worse, and ended up with me seeing an emergency Doc.
Anyways 36 hrs later I am feeling a bit better, but I dont know if its just a cover or not. I will know more once I am able to start eating again, I just dont feel up to it yet, but taking plenty of water.
Hope to play tonight if I feel a bit better, and of course will keep ya updated.

The Day the devil shit on Plaza
Wow......... that was some sick session.
I knew I should not of played after yet again feeling unwell just like last week.
But I wanted to play some hands to try and get the next release of my Deposit Bonus.
So Off I went, x6 tables up with You tube on in the background playing my Favourite tunes I had saved.
Did not start off too bad, I was actually winning instead of Losing, which was a surprise. Then like the title says the devil came down and shit on me something bad.
I dont fold the 3rd Nuts to a river shove for anybody unless its a flush of course. But I was not winning the hand from the turn but I was holding the 2nd Nuts on that turn, and like I mention all too often, People shove on the river way too often with the nuts and yes he did the same........ No way was I expecting this.........

*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot €20.89 | Rake €1.09
Board: [3c 9h 7h 7s Kc]
Plaza. won (€0.00), mucks
romolo12 won (€20.89), showed [7d 7c] ( OMG he had Quads and hit the 1 outer on the turn ).
So buy in down, but fair play he did have the best hand and there was no way I was folding.
The hand did not Tilt me, and I was somewhat still focused, although I had to sit out and sit on the loo for another 10 minutes.....
So I get going again and regain some of the lost Buy in back with me flopping Quads on Blind V blind. Checked to the river when I bet yes 20c pot bet, only for him to pot bet again, and then I 3 bet pot bet him and he calls and mucks.
Then another hand I get involved in with a villain I have history with. Hes one of these that can 3 barrel bluff and my notes on him are pretty long.
I have 55 UTG and just call and the villain is on the BB. There is another caller and then Villain pot raises it and I call because I know I can get paid If I hit v him.
*** FLOP *** [3c 5d Td] ( got ya )
Overise bets €0.93 ( 1st barrel )
Plaza. calls €0.93 ( I know if I raise I lose him, and he knows I call him most times )

kamburov raises €8.08 ( WTF, dont tell me hes hit a set has well )
Overise folds
Plaza. goes all-in with €10.67 (I never fold sets, cash going in anyways so shove)
kamburov calls €10.67 ( yup standard )
*** RIVER *** [3c 5d Td 9s] [9h] ( Phew I hit my boat but is it big enough? )
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot €24.12 | Rake €1.26
Board: [3c 5d Td 9s 9h]
Plaza. won (€0.00), showed [5h 5c]
kamburov won (€24.12), showed [9d Th] ( OMG he shoved with 2 pair and sucked out )
Another buy in down. I went over the hand and although I had no info on this guy I did not not even consider him to be strong. The Limp pre, the call raise, called on the flop, nothing showing strength at all and I guessed he must of hit the set of 10's and slow played it. But what can you do, you know your Villain, and you hit he stacks you off. But of course nothing is so simple and hes gets a nice friendly note attached to him........
I then continue to feel like shit and then start to close tables down.
Dreading my loss for tonight I hit the refresh button on PT3 and find its not that bad. Yeah its another losing day, but not that much considering the above........
Hands played 733 just over 2.5 hrs and with a loss of €9.16. It makes me now losing for the month of May but only by 11c.
If I dont feel any better tomorrow I will not be playing. I am amazed I manage to write this to be honest. So now its off back to the loo.........

kamburov won (€24.12), showed [9d Th] ( OMG he shoved with 2 pair and sucked out )
Another buy in down.

I knew it couldn't Last.........
Well it had to happen and tonight it did, I lost in a session........
Not much, but once again I lost a buy in very early and was playing catch up after that.
I did get sucked out on more times tonight and I supoose I was due a few beats. But no complaints really.
Just 2 hand sticks out and I had the dreaded KK UTG and raised it and BB 3 bets it, and I call it and flop comes down 556, pretty safe I think, hes either got AA which I have mentioned happens so many times on Boss its unreal, or QQ. I have to decide which it is. He bets the pot, which is not a good sign, so I raise to see were I am, and he calls, the Turn brings the 7 and he checks, so I pot bet and he instant shoves. I am pretty much committed now, and expect to see AA, but he flips over 8 9 off for the Straight and I lose my Buy in.
The other hand is again KK and I play this a lot slower, not that I am afraid of busting, but its a tight guy, and has the word Caution wrote all over his hand......
I call the raise and the flop is 10 high, he bets half the pot I call. Turn is a nothing card and it bets 1/4 pot, and again I just call. The river again is a nothing card and he bets Half the pot and I Instant call. He flips AA. Pretty chuffed with that because I lost the minimum and went with my read which was right.
A few donk calls to suck me out of hands, and then decide enough is enough for tonight, and wanted to play the Scoop game on Stars, so closed the tables down. I was quite pleased overall, it could of been much worse, but a loss is a loss......
So tonights figures are played x6 tables for 2.5 hrs and raked in 698 hands, but with a loss of Just €3.08, but once again I pay more than that in rake........
